The Mentoring Project provides professional development, accountability, and camaraderie through the creation of one-on-one relationships between new and veteran marriage and family therapists.
Differing from supervision, mentoring relationships provide opportunities to network, share ideas about the profession, and give personal support. Although we recommend that mentoring pairs meet monthly, the format and topics for meeting are flexible. Possible mentoring conversations can include balancing personal and professional issues, career development, professional licensure information, and continuing education opportunities.
We are currently matching mentoring pairs around gender and geographic location. If you’re interested in joining the Mentoring Project, please email the director of The Mentoring Project, Kasia Novak.
